Prince Faisal bin Fahd Awards for the Preservation of Islamic Architecture

IRCICA will be soon launching a competition, entitled Prince Faisal Bin Fahd Awards for the Preservation of Islamic Architecture, on the preservation of Islamic architecture. The awards will be given to the best restoration projects of Islamic structures, to be selected by an international jury architects and specialists of restoration.

The competition is dedicated to the memory of the late Prince Faisal bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz al-Saud. Prince Faisal was the Chairman of the International Commission for the Preservation of Islamic Cultural Heritage (ICPICH), an ad-hoc subsidiary body of the OIC which operated from 1983 until 2000 with IRCICA as its Executive Secretariat.
