Following are some reviews on the proceedings of the international symposium on the Modern Techniques of Transport and Communication in the Muslim World published by IRCICA:
"It is seen that despite economic problems, the Ottoman State did not lag behind the technological advances. For this reason, how appropriate is the title given by the editors: 'The Ottoman who caught up with the times ". Kerim Derman, Zaman newspaper, 23 November 1995
"A serious work that needs to be examined thoroughly." Ozcan Unlu, Turkiye newspaper, 9 March 1996
"Another link in the chain of contributions by IRCICA to the history of science in Islam. This book deals with an aspect of our history that has not been examined sufficiently. It gives detailed information on the Ottomans' efforts to keep up with global developments at the turn of the century." Taha Kivanc, Zaman newspaper, 26 January 1996
