IRCICA Director General Prof. Kılıç addressed the “Dialogue for the Future” Conference in Mostar

IRCICA Director General Prof. Mahmud Erol Kılıç addressed the high-level international conference “Dialogue for the Future” convened in Mostar, on 23 July 2024 by the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina to celebrate the 20^th anniversary of the rebuilding of Mostar Old Bridge and highlight the significance of international cooperation and dialogue for peace and development in Bosnia and Herzegovina and in the region. In his address, Professor Kılıç evoked the cultural cooperation involving historical and architectural studies implemented by IRCICA in connection with Bosnia and Herzegovina over the past thirty years, in particular the “Mostar 2004” ten-year program of architectural studies and workshops which was coordinated from 1994 to 2004 and concluded simultaneously with the re-opening of Mostar Old Bridge on 22 July 2004; these activities were momentous steps in the evolution of the Centre’s architectural programs and are now given a fresh continuation with the “Mostar 2024” Workshop and Symposium  program organized from 15-22 July 2024.
