IRCICA organized a Panel on “Countering Islamophobia Through Art: The Ventures of IRCICA” at its headquarters on 19 March 2025, to commemorate the International Day to Combat Islamophobia which is observed globally on March 15 according to the UN Resolution 76/254 dated 2022. The panel, opened by the Director General of IRCICA Ambassador Prof. Dr. Mahmud Erol Kılıç, featured the keynote address (pre-recorded) of Ambassador Prof. Dr. Mehmet Paçacı, Special Envoy of the OIC Secretary General on Islamophobia. Moderated with an address by the Assistant Director General of IRCICA Prof. Dr. Aboubacar Abdullah Senghore, the panel received contributions by three experts evaluating the impact of IRCICA’s events and activities in the fields of art on the basis of data and observations and emphasizing the role of arts, art education and the media in combatting Islamophobia.
