IRCICA took part in the 7th International Conservation, Restoration, Archaeology, Museology, Librarianship Fair and Conference which took place in Istanbul on 3-5 May 2023. IRCICA’s stand showcased its publications resulting from various research projects and conferences relating to the history and cultural heritage of the Muslim world, together with a collection of prize-winning calligraphy works from its international calligraphy competitions.
On the first day of the Fair, a panel titled “IRCICA and Its Contributions to the Preservation of the Islamic Cultural Heritage” was held, where Assoc. Prof. Dr. Alidost Ertuğrul, Chief of the Architectural Heritage Section, outlined the activities concerning architectural heritage, Dr. Didar Bayır, Head of IRCICA Library and Archive, presented the work conducted on documentary and manuscript collections that are part of the written heritage, and Prof. Dr. Sadık Ünay, Consultant on Research Projects, described IRCICA’s programs and projects in various fields and underlined the Centre’s role in promoting awareness and studies on the cultural heritage of the Muslim world. The panel was attended by an international audience.
