Cooperation with “Azret Sultan” Museum Reserve, Kazakhstan: joint book launch at IRCICA

A book launch conducted at IRCICA on 9 October 2024 introduced researchers with the proceedings of the conference on “Reassessing the Heritage of Khoja Ahmet Yasawi” which was organized by IRCICA and “Azret Sultan” National Historical and Cultural Museum Reserve, Turkistan, Kazakhstan, in 2023. The book contains 19 articles in English, Kazakh, Russian or Turkish, based on research findings, information on the progress achieved in the compilation of Ahmet Yasawi’s Hikmats, and studies on the history of dissemination of the heritage of Yasawiya and its mutual influences with other philosophical traditions in the Turkic and Islamic world. The importance of promoting academic studies on the spiritual heritage of Ahmed Yasawi was underlined in the speeches of IRCICA Director General Prof. Mahmud Erol Kılıç, the Director of “Azret Sultan” Museum Reserve Mr. Maulen Sadykbekov, and the Chairman of the Turkish Academy of Sciences (TUBA) Prof. Muzaffer Şeker.

On the same day, an MoU for Cooperation was signed between Mr. Maulen Sadykbekov and Prof. Mahmud Erol Kılıç, to serve as a framework for the growing cooperation between “Azret Sultan” Museum Reserve and IRCICA.
