A Memorandum of Understanding for Cooperation between Bukhara State University and IRCICA was signed during the visit of Prof. Obidjon Khamidov, Rector of Bukhara State University, to Prof. Mahmud Erol Kılıç, Director General of IRCICA, at IRCICA headquarters, on 14 August 2023. A working meeting was held, together with the members of the visiting delegation, Assoc. Prof. Hamroev Azalshoh Hazratovich, Chairman of the Bukhara Region Branch of the Society of Historians of Uzbekistan, Prof. Namozov Bobir Bahrievich, Head of the Department of Islamic History and Source Studies, and Assoc. Prof. Ochilov Alisher Tulis oglu from the Department of History and Archeology of Bukhara, and IRCICA officials Prof. Cengiz Tomar, Head of Research and Publications, and Prof. Ashirbek Muminov, Consultant for Organizational Activities (Central Asia). A roadmap was drawn for cooperation during the 2023-25 period, involving joint symposia, exchanges of experts and research projects.
