Mr. Bekir Bozdağ, Deputy Prime Minister of Turkey, visited IRCICA Director General Dr. Halit Eren on Friday 13 April. During the visit Dr. Eren briefed Mr. Bozdağ on the activities and guided him to the different departments of the Centre. In the library, he briefed the distinguished guest about the collections of books, the clasification and management methods including the RFID system and other facilities installed in recent years within the framework of the library expansion and development scheme. At Çit Qasr Mr. Bozdağ visited an exhibition of calligraphy and gilding, and then at Yaveran Building he was briefed by the research staff on specific programs and projects. Talks were held on subjects of common concern in the context of collaboration between IRCICA and the Turkish Prime Ministry’s institutions which work under affiliation to Deputy Prime Minister Bozdağ namely the Turkish Prime Ministry’s Turkish Agency for Development and Cooperation (TİKA) and the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities which on many occasions have extended cooperation to the Centre for joint activities, particularly conferences and symposiums.
