IRCICA is honoured and encouraged by the letter of H.E. President Muhammadu Buhari, President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, dated 3 January 2019 answering IRCICA Director General’s communication, in which President Buhari expresses appreciation of Director General’s warm sentiments on the enhancement and promotion of bilateral relations between IRCICA and academic institutions in Nigeria, and reaffirming Nigeria’s continued support for IRCICA’s efforts.
The correspondence developed in consequence of the international conference on History of Islamic Civilization in West Africa which was organized jointly by Arewa House, Ahmadu Bello University and IRCICA, in Abuja, on 19-20 October 2018. The meeting of President Muhammadu Buhari and Prof. Dr. Halit Eren during the conference period addressed areas of academic and cultural collaboration between Nigerian institutions and IRCICA.
