This book contains thirty-nine scholarly papers presented by eminent specialists of Islamic arts from various countries during the symposium which was organised by IRCICA in Istanbul, on 18-22 April 1983. The papers are related to various fields of Islamic arts, including architecture, decoration, calligraphy, carpet making, miniature painting and others. The book was published in cooperation with Dar ul Fikr, Damascus.
