This book contains a comprehensive bibliography of manuscripts, books, articles, and book chapters related to the art of calligraphy, published in Türkiye and abroad. It has a foreword by Prof. Ekmeleddin İhsanoğlu, the author’s Preface, and an introduction by the calligraphy expert Prof. M. Uğur Derman. The bibliography is known as the most comprehensive one available on the subject. It reflects the meticulous scholarship of Professor Ali Haydar Bayat (d. 2006), medical doctor, Head of the History of Medicine and Deontology Department at Ege University, İzmir, who also served as Director of the State Turkish Music Conservatory in the same university. His publications include a large number of comprehensive studies on the history of medicine and history of art.
