This book prepared for documentary purposes on the 20th anniversary of IRCICA contains a full record of the Centre’s phases of establishment and expansion over its first 20 years. It introduces an overall classification of the Centre’s structures and subjects; describes its projects conducted in various fields, ceremonial and anniversary events; acknowledges the support of the OIC Member States, academic, artistic and media circles to its activities. In the Introduction, the then Director General Prof. İhsanoğlu shares his views on the initial phases and subsequent expansion of the Centre. The detailed appendix contains complete lists of conferences, public lectures, exhibitions, and publications. The book was presented to the Member States’ Foreign Ministers during their 27th session held in Kuala Lumpur in 2000.
