IRCICA, jointly with Al-Turath Islamic Heritage Foundation, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, conducted an international program titled “Islamic Urban Heritage. Research, Preservation, Management” from 2011 to 2018. The program consisted of short-term schools of approximately 3 weeks each, designed for graduate and undergraduate students and professionals educated in architecture, urban planning, archaeology, art history, history, civil engineering or project management. The first school was conducted from 27 June to 29 July 2011 with lectures, panels, studios, and field trips to historical areas and World Heritage Sites in Southeast and Northwest Türkiye. This booklet outlines the lectures given and the participants projects produced during this period.
