Proceedings of the Internatonal Congress on al-Quds during the Ottoman Era

This book contains the proceedings of the congress on the theme of “Al-Quds during the Ottoman Era” which was organized jointly by IRCICA and the Ministry of Culture of Syria within the framework of the program “Damascus Capital of Arab Culture, 2009”. The congress was held on 25-29 June 2009 in Damascus. The papers are published in their original languages: 15 scholarly articles in English or in Arabic, relating to the Ottoman administrative system in al-Quds, education, health and intellectual life.
