This book contains a scholarly study on a manuscript copy of the Holy Quran attributed to the period of Caliph Othman (RA) and preserved in the Topkapı Palace Museum. This is a well-known copy, designated as the “Othman (RA) Topkapı Mushaf”. Dr. Tayyar Altıkulaç, a specialist of Quranic studies, has done a meticulous comparative study and technical analysis of the copy. In the Introduction, the author explains the method followed and the findings obtained. With only two pages (23 verses) lacking, “Topkapı Mushaf ” is one of the early copies that are closest to complete. Together with this book, a facsimile edition of the Mushaf was published. Funding for its delicate expertly printing was provided by H.H. Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed al-Qassimi, Member of the Supreme Council of the U.A.E. and Ruler of Sharjah.
